Heavy or Light Crop The front end (1) is adjusted according to amount of crop. In heavy, tall crop the conditioner hood is opened, to avoid blockages and ensure smooth efficient flow. In short crop, a smaller opening is preferred. Aggressive Conditioning or Fuel Saving The rear end (2) allows adjustment related to power consumption and aggressiveness of conditioning. A large gap between conditioner and hood means less aggressive conditioning and minimized power consumption. A small gap is chosen when very aggressive conditioning is preferred.
